The Beacon Center provides a quick look at Direct Primary Care and urges our state legislators to take action to protect this great health care delivery model. Having provided some of the background information to a Beacon Center representative, I was glad to see this article come out as it did. Other states have enacted legislation to protect doctors that are trying to address patient needs in Direct Primary Care. In other states, insurance regulators are attempting to regulate DPC doctors as insurance. This is insane. I hope that enough interest builds here in Tennessee to secure protection from the same in our state. I want to spend the next 20 or 30 or more years practicing Direct Primary Care in Middle Tennessee.
