Why your child might see a paediatrician?

Your child might see a paediatrician if your GP wants a specialist opinion about your child’s health and development, or thinks your child needs specialised care and treatment.

– behaviour problems
– developmental delay
– autism
– sleep problems
– brain conditions – for example, epilepsy
– problems with muscles or bones, such as developmental dysplasia of the hip or bow legs
– disabilities such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy or Fragile X syndrome
– soiling (encopresis) or constipation.
