Registered Nurse – Integrative/Functional Medicine

Sanctuary Functional Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse who demonstrates a strong passion and eagerness to excel in Functional Health and integrative medicine and who wants to specialize in learning to treat complex chronic illnesses. We care for patients who have complex cases such as CIRS, mold toxicity, Lyme disease, autoimmune disorders, mast cell activation, hormone dysfunction, PANS/PANDAS, cardiovascular disease, leaky gut, SIBO, Type II Diabetes, and much more.
Position Summary
The role of the RN at SFM will be to provide holistic care to all our patients while in-office or remote. You will work in collaboration with our clinical providers, as part of the nursing team, to provide the best patient care and experience while focusing on triage, coordinating labs, scheduling appointments.
Position Responsibilities
- Administer clinic nursing care.
- Take patient history and vitals prior to office visit.
- Complete patient follow up/instructions after visit as directed.
- Instructions for upcoming visits, details on lab tests and kits.
- Answer patient questions via patient portal, phone, or face to face.
- Triage patients in-office and over the phone.
- Communicate with collaborating physicians and clinicians regarding patient care.
- Maintain accurate electronic patient medical records.
- Schedule patient appointments per template.
- Provide advice, emotional and spiritual support to patients, family members and friends.
- Participation in nursing team meetings
Required Qualifications
License/Certification
- RN with minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers. (Required)
- Previous nursing experience in a clinic outpatient setting preferred.
- Previous Functional Medicine experience preferred.
- Preference for skill in IV Therapy as well as phlebotomy.
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to build rapport with patients.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as multi-tasking.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with adults, as well as pediatric patients.
- Must be open-minded to training and willing to learn new techniques.
- Computer EMR proficiency, Microsoft office.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday that will require full time in clinic
