Then, when it comes to holiday meals, we can continue this pattern by using fresh fruits and veggies on our menu. Simply being sure to include a lot of colorful veggies means that we will also be getting a mix of phytonutrients and modulators. The antioxidant activity of the veggies combined with healthy spices can at least counterbalance some of the extra sugar we sneak onto our holiday plates.
