Instructions 

- Heat oil over medium high heat in heavy bottom pan.
- Add all burger ingredients to a large bowl and combine – be sure not to over mix!
- Form chicken mixture into large balls – about the size of the palm of your hand. Then flatten to form patties.
- Place in pan once hot and cover pan with lid.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side – or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Top with Avocado Mash, aoili, caramelized onions, tomatoes, pickles and wrap in butter lettuce!
- Chicken Burgers
- 1 lb ground chicken
- ½ jalapeno seeded and minced
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 2 tbsp chopped green onion
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ¼ tsp chipotle powder – optional (this spice can be harder to find)
- 2 tbsp arrowroot flour – almond flour can also be used as a binder – you will probably need about ¼ cup
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
Avocado Mash
- 1 avocado
- ¼ tsp salt + pepper
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- squeeze of lime juice
