We have come full circle again to needing discernment so this is a perfect time to reprint a blog article from 2020. My latest updated thoughts are included at the end.
We take a moment to remind ourselves of who is in control of COVID. Some believe the elite globalists control this pandemic. Some believe that the media control the narrative. Some believe that it is completely out of control.
Regardless of where you fall on this spectrum, reality is still reality. God is in control. He was not and is not surprised by this virus nor its repercussions in society.
God will use this virus, the hysteria surrounding it, and even the evil of those attempting to use the crisis for evil ends for His own plans and the good of His people. While we are not promised that we will never pass through storms, we are told that God will care for us through the storms.
Our society will never be the same again for a number of reasons. My prayers continue that God would use this evil force to reshape society into something that is more pleasing to Him and a greater blessing to His people. Join me in this prayer and the other prayers I continue to post daily.
2021 Update: Yes, I still believe that God is still in control even though I pray this virus and the destruction of society caused by it would finally come to an end. Yes, I still call out, “How long oh Lord?” Yes, I put all the strength that He has given me into following Him wherever He leads…
