While looking to a heavenly father for our daily bread, we do not wait idly. The Israelites were called to gather manna in the desert. We are called to take care for ourselves and others. We are called to take action in preparing while God does the providing.
In contrast, those who sleep and slumber when they should be acting will find themselves overtaken as if by a robber. They will awaken and be dumstruck that they are overcome.
Once we know what is good for us in terms of spiritual or physical health, we must take action. Knowing what is good for food yet not choosing this good will bring destruction of our bodies over time. Be an ant. Work steadily as we look to the One who provides.
